SAINT DIONYSIOS OF ZANTE, GREECE, BISHOP OF AEGINA 9263 St. Dionysios was born on the Greek Island of Zakynthos in 1547 and was baptized by St. Gerasimos of Kephalania. He was ordained a priest in 1570. Then in 1577 he was made the Archbishop of Aegina. St Dionysios lived a holy life so close to the love of Christ that he forgave, protected and saved the criminal who killed his brother. St. Dionysios went to his Lord peacefully at the age of 75 in 1622.
