Product Description

SAINT EPHRAIM, THE NEW MONK-MARTYR OF MOUNT AMOMON, GREECE, FULL BODY 9129 St. Ephraim the new martyr of Mount Amomon, along with many other brothers of his monastery, had been captured by the Turks and told to deny his Christian Faith. When the monks continued to confess Christ, they were horribly tortured and eventually put to death. St. Ephraim was hung from a tree, then his stomach was slashed open and a fire was lit inside it. For many years all this was unknown, until a Greek nun and others were told of it in visions of the saint when they had gone there to build a women’s convent.

Feast Days: 3rd May and 5th January
