Product Description

SAINT ANASTASIA THE GREAT MARTYR, DELIVERER FROM BONDS Holy Great Martyr Anastasia (also known as the Deliverer of Potions) the Widow lived during the time of Diocletian’s persecution. She had the custom of dressing herself as a poor working woman and going out by night to visit and comfort the many Christians in prison. One day Diocletian declared that all Christians in his prisons should be slain, and his command was carried out in one night. Learning and weeping that all were dead, she no longer cared to conceal her Christian faith from anyone. Almost immediately she was arrested and brought before the authorities and soon after together with St Theodota, they were executed.

Feast Day: 22th December
