SAINT CONSTANTINE THE GREAT – St. Constantine the Great (272-337 AD) set out to restore peace and order throughout Roman Eastern Empire. He faced and defeated his rival Emperor Maxentios “by the cross” then prevented the fierce persecution of Christians which was going on under Diocletian. He also chaired the First Ecumenical Council in the same year.
