HOLY PROPHET ELIAS WITH SWORD, IN CAVE, FULL BODY 6984 The Holy Prophet Elias was one of the two people, with Moses, who appeared to speak with Christ at the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor before Christ’s disciples Peter, James, and John. This icon shows Elijah, in a cave, with a sword raised to heaven as he slaughters a Baal priest, and a small Carmelite monastery. The raven that fed him in his cave sits on the left of Prophet Elias.
