ARCHANGEL MICHAEL OF MANTAMADON, BUST 9072 Archangel Michael of Mantamandos (O Μανταμάδος) refers to a miracle-working icon of the Archangel Michael on the island of Lesvos, which is one of the four miracle-working icons of the Archangel in the Dodecanese of Greece. The monastery is known locally as Taxiarches (the “Archangel”) and the feast of the icon is celebrated on November 8.
