Product Description

SAINTS COSMAS AND DAMIAN, THE HOLY UNMERCENARIES, FULL BODY 9143 Saint Cosmas and Damian were from Asia Minor. They were both trained as physicians and treated the sick without payment, in fulfilment of the Lord’s command: “Freely you have received, freely give…” (Mt. 10:8). They suffered at Rome in the reign of the emperor Carinus (283-284 AD), but by miraculous events caused by their healings they were set free. Later however they martyred at the hands of an older physician, their medical instructor in fact, who was jealous of their fame.
