SAINT ELESA OF KYTHERA, FULL BODY 7246 Agia Elesa was daughter of Eladios and was living in Peloponnese. Since her father didn’t approve of her conversion to Christianity, she fled to Kythira and became a nun. In rage her father perused her and killed her on the site of the monastery, in 375 AD. Since then, she has been considered a protector of the island.
