SAINT EVANTHIA, AT SKEPSIS ON THE HELLESPONT 9131 St. Evanthia was the wife of St. Demetrius, who was a prince and the governor of Skepsis at the Hellespont. They had a son, Demetrian. St. Demetrius was converted together with his wife, Evanthia and their child. The pagans of Skepsis were enraged by this change in their governor, and sent the family to prison where they died of starvation.
