SAINT POLYXENA 9280 The Monastic Women Xanthippa and Polyxenia were sisters and they lived in Spain during the time of the holy Apostles. They were among the first to hear the Divine teaching of Christ the Saviour from the holy Apostle Paul, Peter and Andrew. St Polyxenia toiled for about forty years at preaching the Gospel in Spain and converted many pagans to Christ. Saint Xanthippa shared in the and toil of her sister and preached in the populous city of Toledo. The saints reposed in the year 109.
